McKain Law, PLLC, is focused exclusively on employee benefits in two primary areas: Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO) needed to divide retirement benefits on separation or divorce; and obtaining other employer-provided benefits that may have been denied, such as a medical, behavioral health, or long-term disability claim. 

A federal law called the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, or ERISA, governs employer-provided benefit plans. ERISA provides protections to ensure you will receive the benefits promised to you, but ERISA's requirements are complex to navigate, especially if you are dealing with divorce, or an illness, disability, or other hardship.
