Divorce Representation:
I represent clients who are seeking a divorce in NY.
My role in a divorce is to: gather all financial information on a couples’ assets and debts to help divide them fairly; calculate spousal support; and if there are children, determine custody and visitation and calculate child support.
My background in retirement benefits is especially helpful for clients because retirement assets are often one of the largest assets from accrued in the marriage.
Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs):
Ensure my divorce clients have final QDROs by the conclusion of the divorce;
Advise other divorce attorneys about the retirement benefits at stake for their clients, obtain the benefit information, draft the QDROs needed, and ensure the plan accepts the final QDRO;
Draft QDROs for ex-spouses who are already divorced but who never obtained the QDROs needed from their divorce attorney.
